“Great Vet, the staff are kind, caring & very professional with animals, I highly recommend them if you need a vet for check-ups, or any more serious concerns 🐶🐾”

Why Choose Us?
We love creating ongoing relationships with our patients and pet owners and to work together as a team to ensure your pet has the best life possible. We are a dedicated local business and our commitment and promise to you is that all our decisions and actions will be based around the following core values:
- Accepting
- Dedicated
- Caring
- Community
- Excellence
Our team has chosen these values, and we base every single decision or action on them.
The overall vision we have for ‘why we do what we do’ is:
‘Creating and nurturing relationships to deliver dedicated care for pets and their families.’
To us this means the relationship we form with you as pet owners, our relationship with each other as a working team (our culture of being warm and welcoming is really important to us) and also how our actions can improve the relationship pet owners can have with their pets. We are all pet owners ourselves so understand the strength of this connection.
One of the things that makes us the most happy is when pets and their owners pop in for a social visit only. We love being part of their life!

Our Other Locations
Kew Vet is part of a network of three veterinary clinics, including: Hawthorn East Vet and Alphington & Fairfield Vet.
Our practices each operate independently, but share resources and knowledge in order to provide the best health outcomes for your pet. Your pet’s medical history is available at all 3 clinics.
Looking for cat boarding? Don’t forget the fantastic Kew Cattery, located right above the Kew Vet.

Hawthorn East Vet
Conveniently located at 1 Victoria Road, Hawthorn East (right next door to the Geebung Polo Hotel, and opposite Auburn station).
Look out for the grey fence and the beautiful garden out front.

Alphington & Fairfield Vet
Our newest veterinary practice. Alphington & Fairfield Vet provides personalised service and care for a wide range of pets.
We strongly support preventative health care and encourage pet owners to come in for regular checkups to avoid painful and expensive conditions.

New to Us?
Thank you for choosing Kew Vet & Cattery to care for your pet.
We have put together a bit of information to help you prepare for your upcoming visit
Where are we?
We are located at 13-15 Cotham Road, Kew. (close to the junction of High Street and Cotham Road)
Here is a google link to where we are.
Parking
There are usually short-term parks available on the street outside, however we do also have limited parking behind the clinic (drive through the archway). Please note the on-street parking outside the clinic is a No Standing/tow-away zone between 4.30pm and 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
Safety
To keep you and your pets safe we do require all dogs to be on a lead and all cats to be in secure cat carriers. We do ask that you are conscious of other pets in the clinic. (For example your dog may love saying hello to the cat, however the feeling might not be reciprocal!)
Previous history
Please remember to tell our team about any treatment or previous health issues your pet might have had. A good idea is to ask your previous vet to email us a copy of your pet’s history to info@kewvet.com.au (It’s also a great way to ensure we can program important healthcare reminders for your pet).
Never visited a vet?
Here is what to expect:
When you arrive you will be greeted by one of our friendly team. We generally weigh all dogs in the reception, (cats and small pets weighed in consultation rooms). We will always ask, but please do let us know if you would prefer no treats to be given to your dog. The vet will then take you and your pet through to one of our spacious consultation rooms for your pet’s exam where they will ask you about your pet’s history and conduct a full physical exam. After the consult, payment is made at reception and any medication required dispensed and explained. Payment is required at the time for all treatments or products.
